Fulfilling Their Dreams facebook.com/GangaLearningCentre Helping Indians to Help Indians Ltd was registered in November 2019 at Companies House. It is a not-for profit entity whose sole purpose is to financially support and empower the Ganga Learning Centre in Samne Ghat, Varanasi (Benares), India. We also support a Music Academy, allowing pupils to gain employment in the arts. Our sitars were made by the same craftsmen who suppled Ravi Shankar's family for five generations, and George Harrison - a fine pedigree! Unemployment is high in Samne Ghat, and some employers are sexual predators. We offer an alternative route by supporting those excellent Indians who demand change. Grassroots change is happening, through empowering local people. All this costs money. Pre-Covid the Centre cost £600 per month to run, and since Covid we have supported the employees and locals at a cost of £400. Children often have only one set of clothing. We now supply school uniforms at a cost of £15 per child. That is an additional bill of £550 a year. Your money goes far.£6.00 will feed 35 children including Rani the Cook's salary!
